FAQ

OBD2 is a legally defined standard that was originally introduced for recording emissions-related data, for example for general inspections. All manufacturers now use OBD2 to read out a wide range of vehicle-relevant information. We use the OBD2 connector to obtain live data from your vehicle and grant you with the most precise route calculation possible. Practically all vehicles have an OBD2 interface, with the exception of Tesla. Although there is an OBD2 connection here, it is not functional.

Our OBD Plug is powered directly via socket with a voltage of 12 V.

You will find the cPack ID on the product packaging and on the label of the cBox and the cPlug.

No, the OBD2 connector is not equipped with a SIM card.

You can easily install our OBD2 plug with Bluetooth connectivity by plugging it into the OBD socket provided in your vehicle. An adapter may be required for certain models. The OBD interface is usually located in the following positions:

  • In the driver’s footwell on the left, right or in the middle above the pedals.
  • In some vehicles, the connection is located in the center console, often behind a cover.
  • The connection is also often located under a cover on the left behind the steering wheel.

There is a circuit board inside our OBD2 diagnostic connector. The housing parts are made of different TPU materials.

Your personal data is safe with us. The servers on which your data is processed are located in Germany and are therefore subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applicable in Europe. We only process the personal data that is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the service we provide. In addition, the data is adequately protected to prevent unauthorized access, loss or manipulation.

  • GPS tracking is necessary so that we can plan the routes better and know the current location of the vehicles. As GPS data can be personal information, we must ensure that we comply with data protection regulations. We must therefore inform the drivers and obtain their consent.
  • From a technical point of view, however, there is nothing to consider if the vehicles in your fleet are equipped with our cPack. The cPack already contains the required GPS module.
